Rockford Choirs

This post goes out to all the Rockford Choir students! We're planning on coming to school so you can meet baby Julian sometime next week. Until then...Mrs. Odren and Anna stopped by the house to meet Julian, and they brought a little something for big brother Owen too!
Mrs. Feldpausch brought this fruit flower arrangement to the hospital...she made it herself! Can you believe it?! (Luckily we took this picture, since I ate the whole thing for dinner that night.)

Milk Mustache

If you look close, you can see a little milk mustache on Julian. He's a happy guy and getting bigger every day!

Baseball Guy

Owen's new favorite hobby is baseball, and we give all the credit to his big cousin Spencer. He says Spencer is a "baseball guy." Aunt Erin took this picture of Owen playing in the yard. He's actually pretty good! He now has his own bat, ball and mitt, and he likes to go to Spencer's games to see him play on the "baseball stage." He later corrected himself and said "baseball field", but that's just too cute to let it go.

Family Pictures

Owen loves being a big brother. Every day he asks to hold the baby and he sings a little baby song, gives gentle kisses, and smiles at Julian's little baby toes!

Owen has been wonderfully sweet with his new little brother Julian. This is from the morning when we brought Owen to the hospital to meet Julian and see Mommy...in between riding elevators and throwing money in the fountain, we found a moment to take a look at Julian's teeny tiny toes...so sweet.

Welcome Julian!

This is a quick post (I promise more soon when I've got my wits about me...) to announce that Julian Nicholas Scott arrived on May 16, 2009 at 9:44PM. He is a healthy, happy boy and we can't wait to introduce him and his big brother Owen!

Both Julian and his Mommy are healthy. Mandy did an AMAZING job, about 4 hours from first contractions to last big push. And with NO pain medication (OK, she took a couple ibuprofen afterwards :-). She is seriously a superhero.

It's late and we have a BIG DAY tomorrow....more to come!
